This Royal Decree, issued on initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, appoints the Department of Environment as the authority in Norway for matters relating to importation and exportation of threatened plant and animal species as included in Annex I, II, and III of the CITES Convention and the Department of Fisheries for matters relating to fish and fish products and marine mammals.
