The Directive deals with past complaints about the addition of forbidden agents to aquatic and agricultural products destined mainly to external trade. In particular, it reinforces the ban of assorted chemicals and antibiotics (i.e. chloramphenicol) from feedstuff for cattle, livestock, aquaculture, veterinary drugs and agents used in plant production or protection.
