This Order requires persons currently engaged in the buying and selling of animals and poultry, as a dealer, to apply to be approved and registered as dealers and, if appropriate, to apply to have their dealing premises approved and registered. The Order makes it an offence for any person to continue to engage in the buying and selling of animals and poultry, as a dealer if the appropriate application for approval and registration has not been lodged after a specified date.
