Emir Decree No. 13 of 1999 establishing the High Committee for Arab Horses.

The aim of this Committee is to protect the purity of the Arab horse breed. This Emir Decree is composed of 13 articles. Articles 1 and 2 provide for the establishment of the Committee and define its objectives. Article 3 specifies the competencies and duties of the Committee including: (a) issuance of importation and exportation licences; (b) organization of horse races; and (c) cooperation with the Veterinary Authorities in the protection of purebred Arabian horses.
