The present Ordinance implements various articles of the Energy Saving Act of 1 September 2005 (BGBl. I p. 2684). The Ordinance lays down comprehensive provisions relating to the saving of energy in existing buildings and in buildings to be constructed. High thermal insulation technology shall contribute to residential energy saving.
