These Regulations prescribe rules relative to the disposal, use, treatment, transport and storage of hazardous waste, i.e. any waste: (a) specified in the third column of the First Schedule in respect of the corresponding waste stream specified in the second column of that Schedule; or (b) having as constituents one of the substances specified in the Second Schedule, and displaying any of the hazardous properties specified in the Third Schedule. They also prohibit the import of hazardous waste.
