This Order gives effect to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1739/2005, which lays down animal health requirements for the movement of circus animals between Member States. The Regulations provide for the registration of circuses that move from one Member State to another. The Minister may grant or revoke a registration of a circus on the basis of human or animal health considerations.
