These Regulations prescribe compositional criteria and labelling requirements for products presented as a replacement for the whole of the daily diet or products presented as a replacement for one or more meals of the daily diet. Foods for use in energy-restricted diets for weight reduction may be marketed only if they conform to the provisions of these Regulations. Other provisions of these Regulations concern sampling and analysis and other measures of enforcement.
