These Regulations amend the European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1986 to 1999, so as to give effect to Council Directive 96/25/EC. A word or expression that is used in these Regulations and is also used in the Directives has the same meaning in these Regulations that it has in the Directive unless the contrary intention appears.
