These Regulations provide for the implementation in Malta of the European Union scheme for greenhouse gas emissions allowance trading for aviation activities. They set out rules concerning the allocation of free allowances to aircraft operators. Further provisions concern monitoring of tonne kilometre data for aviation activities.
