This Act provides for the establishment of an Exclusive Economic Zone of Nigeria, delimits the zone at two hundred nautical miles from the baselines, and regulates certain activities within the Zone. The EEZ shall extend up to a distance of 200 nautical miles from the baselines from which the breadth of the territorial waters of Nigeria is measured.
