These Regulations continue the restrictions contained in the Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) Regulations 2001 (S.I. 2001/498) within Scotland, and amend these restrictions in accordance with Commission Decision 2001/172/EC of 1 March 2001 concerning certain protection measures with regard to foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom and repealing Decision 2001/145/EC.
