The aim of the present Act is to regulate the protection of farm practices in the province of Newfoundland. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various termes employed therein such as, for example, "acceptable farm practice", "board", "farm operation", "farm practices guidelines", "farmer", "minister", etc. A person may apply to the Board for the designation of a farm practice as an acceptable farm practice under this Act.
