The present Act introduces substantial amendments to the Plant Protection Products Act (BGBl. I No. 60/1997). In the entire text the expression "Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry" shall be replaced by "Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources". Moreover, inter alias, article 6 concerning the admission of a plant protection product, and article 40 dealing with the application of the Act, are amended.
