The present Federal Act lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of directly applicable Union law on the protection of animals. The text consists of 12 articles divided into 3 Main Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Special provisions on the enactment of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009 on the protection of animals at the time of killing (2); Final provisions (3).
