This Act establishes a broad legal framework for the regulation of fish markets. "Fish" is defined as "any fish, including shell fish and crustaceans, and aquatic animals, and any parts, products or by-products of them" (sect. 1). Powers of inspectors, including seizure, detention and disposal of fish and containers are set out in sections 6 and 8.
