The principal changes to the original Byelaws are as follows: Byelaw 4 reinserts Byelaw 72 (annual close season for angling for salmon, trout, and rainbow trout) into the principal Byelaws. Byelaw 72 was previously revoked by the Fisheries (Amendment No. 3) Byelaws (Northern Ireland) 2000 (S.R. 2000 No. 364).
