Section 11 is amended in relation to categories of fishing vessels that require licensing with approval from the Director of Fisheries. Regulation 17 concerns the validity of trawling licenses. Section 26, relative to the use of prohibited gear, is completely rewritten. Section 28, prohibiting various acts relative to fishing, is extensively amended. The Third Schedule specifies fees for registration, fishing licences, etc.
