The Regulations restrict demersal trawling for fish and shrimp in defined areas. Subject to this Regulation, demersal (bottom) trawling for fish or shrimp is permitted in the territorial waters of the North Coast at a distance outside off two nautical miles from that coast defined in the Schedule (reg. 3, comma 1). No trawling is permitted in the East Coast. Regulation 5 places restrictions on demersal trawling off the South Coast, whereas regulation 6 restricts trawling with non-artisanal trawl
