These Regulations provide for the execution and enforcement in Northern Ireland of Community legislation on food additives and in particular food enzymes. They provide that it is an offence to contravene or to use or place on the market a product that contravenes specified requirements of such legislation. The Regulations also provide that in the case of certain types of non-compliance, relating to labelling, an officer of an enforcement authority may serve an improvement notice under Article 9
