These Regulations provide that it is an offence to contravene, or to use or place on the market a product that contravenes, specified requirements of Community legislation implemented by these Regulations. These Regulations also provide that in the case of certain types of non-compliance, relating to labelling, an authorised officer of an enforcement authority may serve an improvement notice in accordance with section 10 of the Food Safety Act requiring specified steps to be taken.
