This Law may be cited as the Food (Control and Sale) (Amendment) Law of 2006 and shall be read as one with the Food (Control and Sale) Laws of 1996 up to 2005 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”). The principal Law and the present Law shall be read as one and will be referred to as the Food (Control and Sale) Laws 1996-2006.The law is issued with the purpose of a better implementation of EU Regulations and Decisions in the food sector (Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002).
