The effect of this Order is to prohibit, except under licence, the importation of used agricultural or horticultural machinery which has been in Great Britain, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man and any vehicle or container which has been used to transport or contain any animal and which has been in Great Britain, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, in order to prevent the spreading of foot and mouth disease.
