This Act regulates the operation of fur farms defined as places where fur-bearing animals are kept in captivity for the purposes of breeding, reproduction and pelting whether or not the fur-bearing animals or their pelts are offered for sale (sect. 1). The operation of fur farms is subject to licensing and the licensing requirements and procedures are set in the Act (sects. 4-7). Section 9 defines the conditions for operating fur farms, which include that premises in which the animals have to be
