This Act, consisting of 46 sections, provides for the registration and protection of geographical indication of goods. Geographical Indication Unit within the Department of Patent, Design and Trademarks, shall carry out all functions relating to geographical indication of any natural or agricultural product or any product of handicraft or industry, including foodstuff. There shall be an official seal of the Geographical Indication Unit saying “Geographical Indication of Goods”. The Registrar app
