The aim of the present Law is to transpose into German law the Council Directive 96/82/EC on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances of 9 December 1996. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provision relating to the application of the Federal Immission Protection Act and the Hazardous Incidence Ordinance. The text consists of 4 articles.
