The present Law implements the Federal Act of 20 June 1986 on hunting and protection of wild mammals and birds, the Federal Hunting Ordinance of 29 February 1988 and the Cantonal Hunting Law of 23 March 1972. In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to hunting and wildlife protection. Article 1 lists the tasks of the Executive Council, such as nominating the Hunting Commissions, issuing regulations for hunting examination, establishing hunting seasons.
