The Act istitutes the International Irrigation Management Institute with the support of the Ford Foundation and on behalf of the International Irrigation Managment Institute Support Group. The Act provides for the function and tasks of the Institute whose purposes are to study, evaluate and develop irrigation systems and ensure equity in water supply in oder to assist agricultural production, protect the environment, mantain waterworks.
