These Regulations designate the Environmental Protection Agency as Focal Point for the purposes of Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol and National Authority for the purposes of Article 12 of the Kyoto Protocol. They also concern application for and approval of a project activity under the Joint Implementation or Clean Development Mechanisms respectively provided for under Article 6 and 12 of the Protocol.
