Land (Small Mortgages) Regulations, 2001 (L.N. No. 75 of 2001).

These Regulations regulate to a certain extend small mortgages. "Small mortgage" means a mortgage for a term not exceeding three years and for a sum not greater that five hundred thousand shilling. The maximum sum may be changed in accordance with regulation 5. Regulation 6 specifies the matters each instrument for a small mortgage shall provide. Every borrower shall notify the Commissioner of Lands or authorized officer regarding a small mortgage. Remedies as specified in regulation 8 require a
