The Law determines the planning and promotion issues in forestry sector; rules on forest and forest land management (both private and public), use, conservation, monitoring; protection of forests and of their primary and secondary functions (also forests with special protection status); forest cadaster, forest Directorate and additional forest economic functions and relations with other sectors.
