The present Act lays down rules governing hunting, taking into account the need to protect and preserve national fauna. Hunting seasons and the species which may be captured shall be defined by regulation. The Act consists of nine Titles dealing with species that may be hunted, hunting areas, hunting licences, hunting season, hunting methods, surveillance, offences and penalties.
