The present Law implements the Federal Petrol Lead Act of 5 August 1971 (BGBl. I p. 1234). Article 1 establishes that the competent authority for the execution of article 5 of the aforementioned Act concerning reduction of air polluton from lead compounds in motorcars is the Bavarian State Office for the Environment.
