This Law regulates the inland waters of the Croatian Republic, the safety of inland waters, legal status, management of the waterways and inland waters, legal relations in respect of vessels, vessel registration procedures, transportation and contracting, transit rules, navigation accidents, organization and operation of port authorities and official controls, monitoring, offences and penalties, and other matters related to the navigation and inland ports.
