This Law, consisting of seven articles, amends Law No. 9.985 on the National System of Protected Areas’ Management – SNUC. It regulates the planting of Genetically Modified Organisms within conservation areas and, in particular, prohibits research, cultivation and other activity related to GMO within indigenous lands and conservation areas. of GMOs inside the property of indigenous people and within conservation units, except for the Areas for Environment Conservation.
