This Law, composed of 15 articles, institutes the Forestry Policy for the State of Rio de Janeiro. The Law requires the State Commission for Environmental Control (CECA) to prepare the necessary legislation as well as the Forestry Policy implementing regulation. The State Government is authorised under this Law to convert the Forestry State Institute in a Foundation, with the tasks of technical and operative body for the afore said Policy.
