This Law, consisting of 9 articles, establishes the State Policy to live together with the semi-arid weather. The Policy aims at establishing baselines for the implementation of permanent public policies in the rural areas of Pernambuco, with the perspective of a sustainable rural development, guaranteeing to local populations the necessary means to live together with the adverse conditions of the semi-arid climate, in particular within the periods of long droughts.
