This Law, consisting of 11 articles, establishes the Policy on Eco-Tourism Development within the State Mato Grosso do Sul. It regulates activities related to the sustainable exploitation of natural and cultural heritage of the State. It also promotes conservation and improvement of environmental and ecological awareness on local population in order to harmonise eco-tourism activities with natural conservation policies.
