The law ratifies the Convention on civil liability for oil pollution damage so as to ensure that preventive measures are taken to prevent or minimize pollution damage, resulting from the escape or discharge of oil from ships, within the territorial sea of the country. The principal of liability for pollution damage and its application is hereby adopted.
