This Law, consisting of 7 Chapters, establishes management, protection and conservation measures of groundwater within the State of Mato Grosso do Sul. It prescribes the requirements to be satisfied in order to perform the above mentioned activities and use their water resources. It specifies terms and conditions for groundwater therapeutic or commercial use. Regulation of groundwater use is under the competenc of the State Secretariat of the Environment Meio and Water Resource (SEMA).
