This Law is composed of 7 Chapters divided into 45 articles. Chapter I gives terms and definitions and defines objectives which are: protection of the environment and public health; safety disposal and treatment of wastes; and, realization of the decentralization principle in hygiene and waste disposal activities as well as regulating and simplifying execution procedures.
