This Law regulates creation of water conservation zones and littoral water belts of rivers and waterbodies, the modalities of management and protection thereof. Special water management terms and conditions shall be applicable to water conservation zones and water belts. In case of the use of surface waterbodies for water abstraction for the purpose of potable water supply there shall be established sanitary protection zone in place of water abstraction.
