This Law, consisting of 89 articles divided into five Titles, provides for the State Policy of Water Resources and creates the State System of Water Resources Management. The Law, based on the State Constitution and Federal Law No. 9.433 of 8 January 1997, establishes the State Policy of Water Resources, which covers surface water, groundwater and rainwater in accordance with the following principles: I - water is a public domain good; II - water is a limited natural resource, endowed with a soc
