This Law sets forth the framework on exploration and production of oil and natural gas. It lays down provisions for rehabilitating existing facilities and recovering oil and gas from established reserves. The Law aims at developing non-renewable resources and ensuring that exploration and production activities do not endanger human life or cause damage to the environment.
