The present Act lays down provisions for the protection of new varieties of plants. The text consists of 31 articles dealing with the following aspects: registration of new varieties; protection of the variety; transfer of ownership, hypothecation and detention of the variety; licensing to exploit the variety; nullificatioin and cancellation of the registration of the variety; the variety denomination; provisional measures and penalties; general provisions.
