This Law officially implements the terms and rules stipulated by the Protocol of the 1979 Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air Pollution concerning the control of emissions volatile organic compounds or their transboundary fluxes, and adopted by the Croatian Parliament at its session on 3 October 2007.
