This Presidential Decree implements Directive 97/12/CE concerning animal health problems affecting intra-Community trade in bovine animals and swine with the exception for feral pigs, as specified in article 2. The Decree strengthens the veterinary and zootechnical checks to control certain animal diseases, implementing also some rules for control of slaughterhouses, assembly centres, transporters and dealers.
