The present Law enforces the Federal Water Water Charges Act in its version of 6 November 1990 (BGBl. I p. 2432) which establishes that the Länder shall levy the charges for discharging waste water into a water within the meaning of article 1 of the Federal Water Act. The amount of the charge shall depend on the noxiousness of the waste water.
