These Regulations prohibit a boat entered in the Register of Fishing Boats which is licensed as a polyvalent vessel under Section 222B of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act 1959 ("Irish polyvalent vessel") to fish for, tranship or have on board mackerel in ICES sub-areas VI, VII, XII and XIV and divisions IIa (non EC waters) IVa, Vb (Community Waters), VIIIa, b, d and e, with effect from 18 March 2005. The Regulations make provision with respect to prima facie evidence in prosecution of offences
