This Order lays down the establishment, organization and operation of the Accreditation Directorate within the Malta Standards Authority. The Directorate shall act as the only recognised accreditation body in Malta. The Order also specifies the fields in which accreditation is required and regulates its relationship with those Regulations which provide for accreditation. The Directorate shall accredit testing and calibration laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection bodies and carry out
